Okay, I’m not a lawyer, so this is not going to be a formal document. Just my set of caveats to you.
1. Use common sense when reading my advice or recommendations. I’m just telling you what I have done in the past that has worked for me or what I have learned from people I trust that has worked for them. Every situation is different and the solution(s) I present to a problem will not necessarily work in your situation.
2. If you are a minor, please check with an adult before following any recommendations from my blogs. Sometimes grown-ups have a little extra insight from all those extra years we’re carrying around, and your mom may be able to tell you ahead of time that the specific plan you have for cleaning her antique credenza is a really bad idea. A little asking can prevent you a lot of trouble.
2. I will talk about cleaners I use or have used. Some cleaners can damage certain surfaces. (For instance you should never use vinegar on marble.) If I know that you should avoid using something on a certain surface, I will let you know. However, I’m not God and am therefore not omniscient. So I won’t always know that a certain cleaner may damage your counter top, carpet, etc. Please check with the manufacturer of the item you wish to clean or with the vendor from whom you purchased it. Always read the directions and warnings on your product bottles.
3. Cleaners can also be harmful to you. If I am aware that a certain cleaner can be harmful, I will let you know, but please refer to the “I’m not God” sentence above and also be aware that different individuals can be more or less sensitive to different cleaners/chemicals. It’s always best to take the most natural route possible when cleaning, but I have been known to use more chemical based cleaners in certain situations. When I get around to talking about food, remember this warning there, too. I don’t know to what you may be allergic or sensitive. And again, always read the directions and warnings on your products’ bottles. Even if you’re a guy.
4. Okay, you’ve been warned. You are responsible for you how you use the information presented on my blog. I can’t be held responsible for damage to you or your stuff. However, I will do my best to give you good solid information, and I welcome your comments and corrections as well.
5. Lastly, I can’t be held responsible for comments made by others on my blog. When I figure out how to do so (I’m brand new to WordPress as I write this.), I will moderate my comments section to keep the offensive stuff out. And if I think (or know) that someone’s advice is bad, I will either say so, or delete the comment. It is also your responsibility to respond to advice presented in responses to my posts with common sense (see items above).
6. A RULE FOR YOU. I welcome your comments on my posts. I reserve the right to delete or edit posts. Please be polite and courteous. No cursing, demeaning language or “trolling”. Let’s keep this a wholesome, friendly place for everyone.
THANK YOU!
